About the role

Are you ready to play a pivotal part in protecting an organisation’s integrity and ensuring it operates with confidence? As our Regulatory & Compliance Officer, you’ll be at the heart of safeguarding the business against regulatory risk and strengthening our reputation in the market. In this position, you’ll take ownership of timely and accurate regulatory submissions while keeping our compliance portals up to date and running seamlessly. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for compliance‑related queries, helping teams navigate obligations with clarity and confidence.

You’ll help ensure the business continues to meet its legal obligations, follow internal policies, and uphold the highest standards of compliance across all operations.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and update key regulatory portals (ASIC, AUSTRAC, AFCA) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee the compliance calendar, ensuring all regulatory reports and filings are submitted on time.
• Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards (NCCP, Privacy Act, AML/CTF) and identify impacts to the business.
• Respond to operational compliance queries and provide clear, practical guidance.
• Develop, review, and enhance internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Provide expert compliance advice to business units to support confident decision‑making.
• Manage and coordinate the compliance training program, ensuring effective delivery and regular updates.
• Assist in assessing compliance breaches and incidents, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews across the organisation.
• Assist with AFCA complaints by gathering documentation and preparing well‑structured responses.
Your Experience
• 3–5 years’ experience in compliance or regulatory roles within financial services, ideally with exposure to non‑bank or mortgage lending.
• Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulations, including the NCCP Act/NCC, AML/CTF Act, Privacy Act and APRA prudential standards.
• Proven experience developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical business guidance.
