Blue Iris Support Services is seeking
dedicated Support Workers to join our dynamic team across the Ipswich region.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised care
and assistance to our valued clients—helping them maintain their independence
and live fulfilling lives. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility
to work around your schedule.
We are currently seeking Support
Workers to support a male participant in the Ipswich area.
Shift times are listed below. Please
note the availability requirements:
Availability:
7 days per week
Shift:
8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Shift:
4:00 pm – 8:00 am (sleepover/inactive night)
Experience supporting high-needs
clients or complex behaviours is essential; training and ongoing support will
be provided.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist clients with daily living activities,
including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social
activities, and community events.
- Provide emotional support and engage clients in
meaningful conversation and activities.
- Monitor client wellbeing and report any changes or
concerns to the care team.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety
protocols to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and
communicate effectively with non-verbal clients (training provided).
What we’re looking for
Current First Aid and CPR certification
(required).
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
(Yellow Card) (required).
Current Blue Card (Working with
Children Check) (required).
Experience supporting non-verbal,
high-needs clients and/or working with challenging behaviours.
A genuine passion for supporting and
empowering people with diverse needs.
Successful applicants will have access
to nationally recognised training programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Adaptability and the ability to work
effectively in a team environment.
A commitment to providing
person-centred, compassionate support.
A valid driver’s licence and access to
a reliable vehicle (required).
