About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available for 2 Casual Vegetation Field Team Members based in Townsville, with ongoing work available depending on project requirements.

This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible, casual work, as workloads can fluctuate. There will be periods of high demand requiring consistent work, followed by quieter periods where work is less frequent.

You will typically work Monday to Friday, 8-hour days, across a range of vegetation and land management projects.

Key duties include:

·Chemical spraying (vehicle and backpack units)

·Whipper snipping and mechanical clearing

·Hand weeding and vegetation control

·Mulching and tree planting General site maintenance and environmental works

This is a hands-on, field-based role, requiring a strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varyingweather conditions.

About you

Highly regarded (but not essential):

• Previous experience in vegetation management or similar field work ACDC Licence (Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control)
• Chainsaw ticket or other relevant machinery tickets Experience working outdoors in physically demanding roles

Essential requirements:

• White Card (General Construction Induction)
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Strong commitment to safety and correct use of equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
