We currently have exciting opportunities within our Vegetation Management team in Western Sydney (Campbelltown region).

About the opportunity

This is an Expression of Interest for Vegetation Field Team Members to work on a potential project based in Western Sydney (Campbelltown) region. The position will be employed on a casual basis, with expected working hours to be 30+ per week. Once we obtain further the details of the project, we will be able to provide more information on start date and rostered hours.

In this role, you will assist in various aspects of land conservation including weed control, planting and equipment maintenance. These roles are always in the field therefore you must be happy to work in a variety of weather conditions.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Open/unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Willingness to undergo a police check and/or drug and alcohol screening
  • Experience with hand tools (eg. brush cutter)
  • Map-reading skills
  • Own reliable vehicle or ability to get to sites
  • Mature attitude, responsible and able to work unsupervised
  • Reliable, hardworking and committed to a strong safety culture  
  • Be physically fit and able to undertake labour intensive work in hot conditions

The following are desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience in vegetation, land or weed management
  • Cert I or II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) Licence
  • Experience / interest in identifying native flora and invasive species
  • Relevant tickets or experience with the operation and maintenance of equipment such chainsaws and brush-cutters
