The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Timber Worker – Truss Plant to join our team in our Dry Creek site. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values safety, teamwork and reliability. We currently have three full-time opportunities available.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate assembly of timber trusses and wall frames in line with design specifications and production schedules. You will play an important role in supporting daily production outcomes while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assemble timber trusses and wall frames to specification and production deadlines
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and job instructions
- Operate hand and power tools, including nail guns, drop saws and presses
- Assist with receiving, storing and organising raw materials
- Load and unload timber components and finished goods safely
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications
- Identify and report any maintenance, safety or quality issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work area
- Contribute to a positive, safety-focused and team-oriented culture
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
About You
- Previous experience in a timber, construction or manufacturing environment
- Experience assembling trusses or frames using pneumatic tools and saws, highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and cutting lists
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- A reliable, punctual and proactive approach to work
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks
- White Card required
- Forklift licence desirable
- Certificate II or III in Timber Manufacturing or similar, advantageous
