The Role
Big Red Group (BRG) is at the forefront of redefining experiences through technology. We are evolving into a platform-focused business, uniting our Engineering, Product, Data & Martech, and Infrastructure teams to drive unparalleled customer value and growth.
As a core member of our unified Data & Martech team, you will sit at the intersection of data engineering and business analysis. Your mission is to transform raw data into clean, well-modelled, and performant datasets that power our entire experience ecosystem. You won’t just build pipelines; you will design the logic that defines how BRG understands its customers.
Core Activities

Architect the Transformation Layer: Design and maintain enterprise grade data models and pipelines within our modern cloud stack, to support BI, reporting, data science and analytical applications.
- Drive Commercial Insight: Understand and architect financial models that tracks the end-to-end voucher lifecycle—from liability to redemption.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the technical translator between data engineering and business units (Finance, Marketing, Product), ensuring that data is discoverable, documented, and directly aligned with commercial KPIs.
- Optimise the Martech Stack: Unlock the full potential of our marketing technology by ensuring seamless data flow that drives conversion and increases customer lifetime value.
- Elevate Standards: Bring a software engineering mindset to analytics—implementing version control, testing frameworks, and strong data governance to ensure our commercial reporting is reliable and trustworthy.
Experience & Skills Required

Commercial Fluency: The ability to translate business requirements into technical ERDs, data flows, and database schemas. You understand the unit economics of a platform business.

Data Modelling: Proficiency in SQL-based modelling (Python is a plus). You have experience designing scalable schemas that serve both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Modern Data Stack Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferably) and transformation workflows using dbt.

Data Integration & Orchestration: Experience managing ELT/ETL processes.

Actionable Visualisation: Skilled at using business intelligence tools (Tableau preferably) to build dashboards that don’t just show data but answer critical commercial questions.

Growth Mindset: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver high-impact results.
