The Role
The purpose of this role is to support the establishment of BG&E Minerals and its growth into the Mining and Minerals sector within Western Australia by assuming a range or responsibilities such as:
- Develop and advise on engineering specification, selection, duty, installation and operational methodologies
- Provide advice on materials handling installations and plant performance elements
- Undertake detailed analysis and mechanical design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability
- Assess the behaviour and performance of mechanical equipment under construction-stage, commissioning-stage and operating conditions
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated cost-effective solutions
- Produce and review technical reports, drawings, and design calculations for quality and accuracy
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other project stakeholders as required for the delivery of projects
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as required
- Ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements and systems
About You
You will be a key contributor within BG&E Minerals’ Structural team where you’ll apply your structural engineering expertise across a range of studies and projects.
- BEng or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant industry experience (3-5 years as a mechanical engineer post-graduation)
- Proven experience in developing practical, buildable solutions under site constraints
- Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly with site teams and contractors
- A proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challenges
