- Advise on ground conditions, material suitability, and constructability risks
- Support preparation of:
- Earthworks specifications
- Investigation scopes
- Design reports and technical memoranda
- Construction planning documentation
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure geological considerations are appropriately addressed
- Conduct site inspections as required to confirm conditions and provide practical advice
Essential Requirements
- Degree‑qualified in Geology or Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in civil works, infrastructure, or engineering geology gained through work in regional WA, SA or NT
- Strong understanding of:
- WA geological conditions
- Earthworks and engineered materials
- Appropriate relevance of geology in civil construction
- Ability to translate geological information into practical, construction‑focused advice
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Current Australian work rights
- “C” class driver’s licence
Desirable Experience
- Experience working alongside civil or geotechnical engineering teams
- Familiarity with Australian Standards relevant to earthworks and pavements
- Previous consulting or project‑based work
- Site‑based experience in WA regional environments
