About the role
We are seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our team at our Manufacturing Headquarters in Yandina on a permanent full-time basis. This role operates Monday to Friday, with standard hours of 6:00am to 2:06pm and an early finish on Fridays, working 5:00am to 12:46pm.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the precise cutting and shaping of melamine materials for furniture production. During quieter periods, you will also be required to support other areas of the business as needed.
You will play a key role in ensuring all products are manufactured to meet quality specifications and customer requirements, while maintaining efficiency across the production process. A strong safety-focused mindset is essential, with a commitment to following procedures, identifying hazards, and contributing to a safe and compliant working environment for yourself and your team.
What do you need for this role?
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role
- Experience operating CNC machinery (highly advantageous)
- Experience using hand tools
- A strong work ethic, with a commitment to producing high-quality work and taking pride in the finished product
- A safety-focused mindset with the ability to follow procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- A good level of physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:06pm, with 5:00am – 12:46pm hours on Fridays
- Flexibility to transition to an afternoon shift if required to meet business needs
- Willingness to assist in other areas of the business when required
- Flexibility to support peak production periods (September to February), with limited availability for leave during this time
