Summary:

The Senior Capability and Development role is pivotal in enhancing the organisational effectiveness of our HR and Personnel functions. Based in Melbourne CBD, this permanent position focuses on developing and implementing training and development strategies that align with our business objectives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programmes to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with business goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make necessary adjustments.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions, ensuring engaging and impactful delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in talent development.
  • Support the development of leadership programmes to nurture future leaders within the organisation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in training and development or organisational development.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programmes.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools.
