The Director – Managed Accounts plays a pivotal role in driving the continued growth of Trellia Wealth Partners. This is a senior, client-facing position offering significant exposure to advisers, platform partners and internal stakeholders across Betashares. You will lead complex managed account discussions, support implementation of tailored investment solutions and help shape strategic growth opportunities across the business.

Role Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to advisers and platform partners, leading complex managed account engagements from solution design through to implementation.
- Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for managed account opportunities, driving growth through new client relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Provide deep technical and investment expertise across managed account structures, portfolio construction and platform capability.
- Lead senior-level client discussions, delivering tailored solutions that meet adviser, client and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Trellia’s managed account proposition, identifying opportunities to enhance capability and scale the business.
- Collaborate closely with product, investment, sales and marketing teams to align market needs with solution delivery.
- Monitor market, competitor and regulatory developments to inform strategy and commercial decision-making.
- Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, forecasting and reporting aligned to growth targets.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with regulatory and internal risk frameworks.
Key skills and experience
- Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in managed accounts, investment solutions, platform distribution or adviser-focused financial services roles.
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, managed account structures (e.g. SMAs/MDAs), and the supporting financial technology ecosystem.
- Proven ability to engage credibly with senior advisers, platform partners and internal stakeholders on complex investment and implementation topics.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, with experience owning growth outcomes and building sustainable client partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian advice and investment regulatory environment.
- Ability to operate with autonomy, sound judgement and accountability in a growth-oriented business.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to lead complex discussions and negotiations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, investment, sales and marketing teams.
