About the role

Benedict Industries is looking for a Part Time IT Support Officer to join the IT Team at our Chipping Norton office.

This is a hands-on role where you will be the first point of contact for technical support across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, infrastructure, and help desk functions while supporting projects and maintaining high service standards.

Working Hours & On Call Requirements

This is a part-time role, working 4 days (30.4 hours) per week, Monday – Thursday. Hours of work will be 7AM to 3PM.

This role involves a weekly rotating on-call roster (one week every fortnight) to provide out-of-hours IT support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for IT support issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
  • Manage and maintain service desk tickets
  • Monitor systems and perform regular maintenance checks
  • Install and configure hardware, software, and user accounts
  • Maintain IT asset register
  • Support IT projects and liaise with external suppliers

About You

  • Experience in IT help desk or technical support roles
  • Knowledge of networking and systems administration
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service focus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
