Bendigo UFS is a community-focused pharmacy committed to delivering high-quality care and service. We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse Immuniser to join our team.
The Role:
As a Registered Nurse Immuniser at Bendigo UFS, you will provide high-quality health advice, health screenings, and administer vaccinations to our patients within our Health Hub and pharmacies. You will be responsible for the preparation and administration of vaccines, managing any adverse reactions, and providing health assessments for a range of conditions. You will also work closely with the General Manager Allied Health Service & Engagement to plan and develop nursing services that benefit both our patients and the broader community.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer a variety of vaccines within your professional scope.
- Manage and treat adverse reactions to vaccinations.
- Provide health advice, risk assessments, and support for chronic disease management.
- Offer first aid, wound care, and treatment for minor ailments.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including vaccination clinics and consulting rooms.
- Support the planning and development of nursing services.
- Administer vaccines as part of outreach services and clinics across the Bendigo region.
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team and other health professionals.
About you:
This is a part-time position for a dedicated Registered Nurse Immuniser who has a passion for patient care and is committed to ongoing learning and development. If you are highly organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team, we want to hear from you.
- Registered nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Nurse immuniser qualification (as recognised by VIC DoH).
- First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality
- Vaccination experience in a medical clinic or vaccination hub (ages 6 weeks and above and COVID vaccines) (desirable)
