About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Legal Assistant with exposure to Workers Compensation law to join our high performing Insurance Team. This is a full-time permanent role with flexibility for those who may need it.

This role is best suited to a career legal support professional who is able work 5 days a week.

About the team

As one of the most highly regarded defendant Insurance practices in Sydney, we have an enviable list of insurer, employer and government clients, who seek our legal assistance in all aspects of workers compensation.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive and proactive support to fee earners, playing a vital role in the team’s success. You will support a high performing, yet down-to-earth team who are known to work hard but have fun along the way.

The position will suit someone who is highly organised and efficient, with a track record of working well in fast paced environments. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and be willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in.

About you

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within an Insurance law practice or firm, or similar role. Knowledge of Insurance and/or Defendant Workers Compensation law is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in utilising Microsoft products like Outlook, with the ability to quickly grasp new applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • A desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • A “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
