Associate, Corporate Finance & Strategy | Avalon Beach, NSW (Hybrid)
About the Role
This is a high-impact finance role at the centre of a growing global hospitality group.
As Associate, Corporate Finance & Strategy, you’ll work across financial planning, analysis, and strategic initiatives partnering with finance and operational leaders to deliver the forecasting, reporting, and insights that drive decision-making at every level of the business.
From monthly P&L and cash flow forecasting to Board reporting packs and investment analysis, your work will span the full breadth of Group finance. You’ll also contribute to strategic projects, covenant
tracking, scenario modelling, and continuous improvement including opportunities to lead AI adoption in financial processes.
What you’ll do:
- Support budgeting and long-range planning across the Group
- Deliver monthly P&L, cash flow, and liquidity forecasting
- Prepare financial analysis including budget vs. actuals commentary
- Build reporting packs for leadership, Board, and investors
- Support external reporting, covenant tracking, and funding analysis
- Conduct scenario analysis and contribute to financial modelling
- Play an active role in strategic planning and investment decisions
- Drive process improvement and support AI adoption in finance
About You
You’re commercially sharp, analytically strong, and comfortable translating financial data into clear, strategic insight. You communicate well across finance and non-finance audiences, bring genuine attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
You’ll bring:
- 4+ years’ experience in finance, consulting or related fields
- Ideally combines strong technical grounding (e.g. audit, transaction services, consulting) with
exposure to commercial or operational finance roles
- CA / CPA qualification (highly regarded)
- Strong command of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau (highly advantageous)
- Sector experience in hospitality or travel (a plus, not a must)
