Disability Support Worker

Summary: We are seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and care to individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will support clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities: – Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. – Support clients in developing and maintaining independence in their daily routines. – Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. – Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create and implement individualized care plans. – Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel. – Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support. Qualifications: – Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification. – Previous experience in a support worker role or similar position is preferred. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families. – Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations. – Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. – Current First Aid and CPR certification.
