Babble Bees is an up-and-coming neurodiversity-affirming Allied health practice located in Footscray, Melbourne. Our clinic provides comprehensive speech and language services for children aged 3 to school-aged. We are a small but rapidly growing business, operating in a new and boutique practice with modern facilities and new equipment.

Summary:

We’re looking for a warm, organised, and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Receptionist to be the first friendly face families see at Babble Bees. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in getting the little things right, and is passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and their families. Join our growing team and help shape the day-to-day experience of our clinic while building meaningful connections in our community.

Position immediately available:

  • Part-time: Wednesday & Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors with a friendly and professional approach
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records
  • Have a working knowledge of the range of services and supports available to our patients
  • Assist practitioners with patient flow and administrative support
  • Help maintain a clean and organised practice
  • Manage invoicing and payment collection
  • Report to the Principal Speech Pathologist and Operations Manager, providing feedback to help optimise business processes and operations

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably with both patients and medical practitioners
  • Experience with Medicare and private health insurance payment systems, and NDIS
  • Strong computer literacy (Office 365) and the ability to learn new systems
  • Experience with Client Management and book-keeping software is favourable (Splose, Xero, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and proven administrative, organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work collaboratively among peers to create a supportive working environment

Pay:

  • $27-$29/hr
  • Leave entitlements
  • 11.5% Super
