About the role

We are seeking experienced Underground Service Crew to support safe, efficient development and production activities. You will be responsible for completing day-to-day underground services tasks including ventilation management, dewatering, services installation and general mine support activities.

Key responsibilities

Install, extend and maintain ventilation ducting, brattice and vent doors as required

Install, extend and maintain water lines, air lines and dewatering systems (incl. pumps and sumps)

Install and recover services (poly pipe, electrical leads as directed, fittings, couplings, valves)

Assist with ground support support tasks (e.g. mesh handling, scaling support, clean-ups) as directed

Operate relevant underground equipment as authorised (e.g. IT/Service truck, LV, forklift/telehandler where applicable)

Conduct pre-start checks, take and follow instructions, and complete required reporting

Maintain strong housekeeping standards and ensure work areas are left safe and tidy

Work safely at all times in line with site procedures, JHAs/JSEAs and permit systems

Communicate hazards, near misses and equipment defects immediately

Skills and experience

Previous experience as an Underground Service Crew / Nipper / Miner’s Offsider / Services (underground)

Strong understanding of underground services, ventilation, dewatering and safe work practices

Ability to work in a high-tempo environment and follow directions precisely

Good communication skills and a safety-first attitude

Tickets and requirements (site dependent)

Valid Drivers Licence

Current national police clearance (or ability to obtain)

Current medical / fit for work (or ability to complete)

Relevant mining tickets such as:

Working at Heights

Service Crew / IT / LV operation (preferred)
