Description

Air Link consists of two focuses. The first on the provision of charter and regular public transport services for the movement of passengers and cargo as approved by CASA. The second on the provision of aircraft maintenance (Air Link Engineering) for internal and externally owned aircraft requiring maintenance to specified standards.

Air Link aircraft are maintained to the highest standards by the Air Link Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organisation. Aircraft maintenance is oversighted by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.

Role:

An Aviation Stores Officer at Bankstown Aerodrome is responsible for managing the procurement, storage, and distribution of aviation-related materials and equipment, ensuring efficient inventory control and supply chain management for aircraft maintenance and operations. They handle a variety of tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming materials, managing stock levels, and issuing supplies across various bases.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for:

• Inventory Management – Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies

• Procurement – Recommending and executing purchase orders for necessary materials and equipment.

• Receiving and Inspecting – Inspecting incoming materials for damage, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

• Storage – Ensuring proper storage of materials to maintain quality and prevent damage.

• Distribution – Issuing supplies to authorized personnel or bases as needed.

• Supply chain management – Coordinating with suppliers, managing delivery schedules, and addressing any supply chain issues.

• Record Keeping – Maintaining detailed records of inventory, transactions, and other relevant information.

• Ensure any maintenance requiring specialist services is carried out by suitably qualified suppliers.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Forklift licence

• Demonstrated understanding of AC20-03 Identification and Management of aeronautical products and CAAP 42W Authorised Release Certificates

• Proven experience as Stores Person with inventory control experience.

Desirable Qualifications / Skills

Applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and attributes will be considered highly.

• Dangerous Goods Transportation for Shippers

• Understanding of aviation maintenance organisation regulations and procedures.
