About the role

Aviair is seeking a highly motivated and customer service focused individual to come onboard as the Operations Coordinator.

As the Operations Coordinator, you will be the heartbeat for all charter and scheduled services with a particular focus on supporting recovery planning of aircraft and flights. Specifically, you will be responsible for schedule planning of our aircraft in consideration of flights and planned & unplanned maintenance. Additionally, you will provide support to the operations team members in the delivery of outstanding service to all our clients.

Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include

Proactively monitor flight activities across the network with particular focus on safety, performance, and efficiency

Work with relevant department heads to manage and coordinate disruption and emergency response as required

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to effectively manage aircraft schedules in consideration of planned maintenance

Follow up on any aircraft defects, reviewing impact to schedule and proactively seeking solutions to issues as they raise

Understand relevant contract client requirements and ensure performance standards are met while building and maintaining relationships with existing clients and stakeholders

Maintain currency of stores and disseminated data including scheduled flight and charter pricing structures and schedules, and GDS distribution of flights

Collate and provide timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports and accounts related paperwork to finance and management teams

Supporting the Senior Base Pilot, coordinate with relevant parties to effectively manage pilot rostering in accordance with duty limitations and qualifications

Problem solve for Operations team as needed and actively work with Operations Manager to review systems and process improvements

Manage customer complaints in an effective and professional manner

In conjunction with Freight and Logistics Coordinator, keep oversight of freight acceptance, dispatch and loading procedures

Provide after-hours and weekend support on a rotational basis

To be successful in this role

Thrive when working as part of a team, be able to follow directions and be a good communicator as well as following:

Proven experience within the aviation industry in a similar role and understanding of appropriate aviation regulations

Excellent problem-solving skills and strong mathematical aptitude

Ability to work autonomously and complete multiple tasks concurrently with a high level of accuracy

Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Takeflite, AirMaestro and relevant flight planning programs

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, confidently and positively with a wide range of people
