ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a social-first video editor looking to break into the
highly competitive world of sport? This is a rare chance to make your mark on
one of Australia’s largest sports and help drive its continued growth and
engagement.
Supercars is looking for a driven and talented Digital Video
Production Editor to create engaging video for distribution across the
Supercars digital and social platforms, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook,
website and app.
The ideal candidate is a storyteller at heart. Whether it’s a
long form YouTube series, or 15 second vertical reel, you’ll be able to hook
and engage an audience within the first second and hold them to the end.
A love of motorsport is a must. An ability to work fast, in a
high-pressure live-sport environment is mandatory. A keen editorial eye and
creative flare are among your greatest attributes. You’re able to spot the
moments that make a great race dramatic, and immortalise them in short clips,
or convey the drama of an entire race in a short timeline.
You live by social-first best practice and want to push the
boundaries with the most innovative editing techniques. You know all the
cutting-edge editing techniques but aren’t content with following trends… you
want to set the trends. And this is your chance.
There are thousands of stories to be told, in and around pit
lane… and from deep in the archives. This is your chance to become a lead
storyteller in Australian sport. And your canvas will be the most gripping,
visceral and heart stopping Australian sporting moments.
