Since launching the Certificate III in Pathology Collection in July last year, we’ve experienced incredible growth and strong demand from students across Australia. To support this continued momentum, we’re expanding our casual Trainer pool and looking for passionate professionals to join us is on an exciting growth journey!

As a leading provider of vocational education in pre-hospital healthcare, APC is proud to be shaping the future of pathology collection education. This is an exciting opportunity to teach on a flexible, casual basis at our Sydney (Hurstville) campus, share your industry expertise and be part of an organisation dedicated to shaping the next generation of pathology collection professionals.

About the Role

As a casual Trainer, you’ll deliver in-person clinical workshops that equip students with essential, hands-on pathology collection skills, with key focus areas being:

  • Delivering engaging, interactive face-to-face workshops.
  • Assessing students’ practical pathology collection skills.
  • Providing guidance, coaching and constructive feedback to support student learning
  • Contribute to operational tasks such as scheduling, rostering, and equipment management.

About You

You’re excited about education and excited to be part of a rapidly growing program that is setting the benchmark for pathology training. You thrive in a collaborative, student-focused environment and enjoy contributing ideas to continually improve training delivery. You bring professionalism, positivity, a sense of humour and a love for teamwork!

There are a few “must-haves” – we are looking for trainers who:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or higher
  • Have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
  • Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Bring 3+ years of industry experience in pathology collection
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are available for casual, flexible work.
