The Opportunity

The Digital Marketing and Communications Assistant supports the delivery of Anmac’s marketing and communications strategy, contributing to brand awareness, stakeholder engagement and digital performance.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role provides hands-on support across digital channels, including website content management, social media, email marketing, content creation, graphic design and internal communications.

The position plays an important role in maintaining and enhancing Anmac’s digital presence, ensuring content is current, accessible and optimised for both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven platforms. The role also contributes to campaign delivery, stakeholder engagement initiatives and continuous improvement across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of integrated marketing and communications strategies and campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Manage and maintain email marketing platforms, including campaign development, segmentation, automation and reporting.
  • Develop engaging content for social media, websites and internal communications, including graphics, photography and video.
  • Schedule, publish and monitor social media content, tracking performance and identifying opportunities to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Maintain website content, ensuring it is accurate, accessible and aligned with brand and digital best practice, while supporting SEO and emerging GEO initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation of visual assets and multimedia content to support campaigns, stakeholder engagement and organisational priorities.
  • Monitor digital performance metrics and contribute to reporting and insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Support internal communications, including intranet content (SharePoint) and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure all communications align with Anmac’s brand, tone of voice and values.

You are a motivated communications professional with experience in digital marketing, content creation and stakeholder engagement, seeking to further develop your skills in a collaborative environment. You have strong attention to detail, a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills, comfortable working across different functions to deliver high-quality outcomes. You are motivated to continuously improve and stay current with digital trends, including SEO, content optimisation and new communication platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, digital marketing, public relations or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in digital marketing, content creation or communications roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing website content using a CMS
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tools and email marketing systems
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva and video editing tools is desirable
  • Understanding of SEO principles and digital optimisation practices
