We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Cook for a short term contract (23 March to 10 April 2026) for our centre in Rowville
The Role
We recognise that each member forms an important and integral part of the Aurora Village and we aim together towards high expectations that are crucial to deliver quality.
- Create and be responsible for high quality meals provided to the children on a daily basis.
- Creation and development of the seasonal Aurora menu and nutrition plan.
- Involvement and planning of nutrition and food related incursions and experiences with the children.
- Management of the service’s herb and vegetable garden to be used within the kitchen’s menu
- Management and implementation of the food safety plan and process
- Participate in innovative and exciting projects

- Most importantly; have a passion for creating amazing food for children!
The essential criteria for this role is:
- Hold a Food Handlers certificate and be a Food Safety Supervisor
- Minimum of 3 years of Kitchen experience working in the Early Childhood Industry
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
- Professional and positive disposition
- A professional approach in line with Aurora’s philosophy.
