Wind Technician – Construction

Aurora ARC WIND, part of Aurora Energy Services (AES), is a global leader in renewable energy services. We are expanding our Electrical & Construction Support Teams for the Golden Plains 2 Wind Farm and are seeking skilled, safety‑focused Wind Technicians to join our onsite delivery team.

This DIDO position is ideal for candidates based in the Ballarat or Western Victoria region with experience in wind turbine installation or maintenance.

About the Role

As a Wind Technician (Electrical Support), you will play a key role in supporting Electricians during turbine installation, electrical completion, and commissioning works. This is a hands‑on position within a large‑scale construction team, requiring technical capability, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a high‑performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Electricians with electrical completion and commissioning activities
• Assist with turbine installation, component assembly, and troubleshooting
• Conduct onsite inspections, maintenance tasks, and quality checks
• Follow all WHS and project safety procedures
• Support rigging, lifting, and EWP operations
• Contribute to a proactive, safety‑first onsite culture

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Current GWO certification (mandatory)
• GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) (mandatory)
• Rigging qualifications – Intermediate or Advanced
• EWP licence
• Valid driver’s licence
• Construction White Card

Highly Regarded (Preferred)

• C6 Crane licence
• LVR/CPR
• Telehandler ticket
• Dogging qualification
• HR/MR licence
