About the Role

Aurora ARC WIND, part of Aurora Energy Services (AES), a global multi-disciplinary energy services company, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor for the Golden Plains 2 Wind Farm, located outside Ballarat, VIC. This is an onsite project-based role, and applicants must be comfortable working in a construction environment on a wind farm project.

As an HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting safe and compliant delivery of wind energy construction activities. Working closely with project and site teams, you will uphold high standards of workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental regulations through inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor and maintain environmental compliance across construction activities.
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare corrective action recommendations (ICAM/Taproot preferred).
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training and toolbox sessions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Manage HSE documentation, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
  • Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks.
  • Promote a strong onsite safety culture through engagement and coaching.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding permits, compliance, and site requirements.
  • Oversee safety equipment standards, maintenance, and availability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma of WHS or Cert IV WHS with 3+ years’ HSE experience.
  • Background in construction or renewable energy highly desirable.
  • ICAM/Taproot experience preferred.
  • TAE qualification desirable.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local HSE legislation.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a site‑based project team.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, active construction site environment.
