Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for
training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa

About the
role
Full-time
| Fixed-Term (18 months) | Melbourne CBD (Hybrid)
We’re
seeking an organised and service-oriented Assessment Officer to support
the Specialist International Medical Graduate Education (SIMGE) team.
This role supports
day-to-day Specialist IMG application and assessment processes. You’ll assist
with documentation, scheduling assessments and panels, support committees,
respond to enquiries, and help ensure processes run smoothly and remain
compliant with external standards.
This is a
great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured work, stakeholder
interaction, and contributing to meaningful outcomes in a regulated education
environment.
Key
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative
support across SIMG applications and specialist assessments
- Assist with scheduling
assessments, interviews and assessment panels
- Process application
documentation and communicate outcomes to candidates
- Maintain accurate
candidate records, data and assessment documentation
- Respond to enquiries and
provide clear advice to candidates and stakeholders
- Support SIMGE related
committees, meetings and associated logistics
- Assist with audits,
reporting and compliance requirements
- Support continuous
improvement of systems and administrative processes
What
you’ll bring
- Strong administrative
and organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal
communication skills
- Confidence managing
multiple tasks, emails and competing priorities
- A customer focused
approach and professionalism when dealing with stakeholders
- Ability to work both
independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience using
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and databases
- Interest in working
within education, health or regulated environments
- Australian or New
Zealand citizenship, or valid Australian work rights
- Experience in education, membership,
committee administration or health settings will be well regarded.

Some of

- $58,000-$68,000 + superannuation
- Salary packaging available (up to $15,899 living expenses +
$2,650 meals)
