Software Tester

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Software Tester to join our dynamic team in the aerospace industry in Adelaide, South Australia. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, which are integral to our innovative aerospace solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software testing and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with software developers and project managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after updates.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on software design and architecture.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Prepare and maintain testing documentation, including test reports and metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing, preferably within the aerospace or related industries.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
