About the Role
The VET Music trainer is responsible for preparing, delivering, assessing and
evaluating accredited training in accordance with the Australian Qualifications
Framework, the VET Quality Framework and NSW Education Standards requirements.
The successful candidate will deliver structured, flexible and engaging training
sessions that support students to achieve nationally recognised competencies,
while ensuring compliance, quality and continuous improvement standards are
met.
This position is a fixed term, part-time position until 18/12/26.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, relevant and engaging music training sessions.
- Assess student competency ensuring fairness, validity, sufficiency and currency.
- Maintain daily attendance and required training records.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
About You
- You live and demonstrate the values of Inclusion, Integrity and Innovation.
- Current industry experience in music or a related field.
- Qualified Trainer & Assessor holding a TAE40110, TAE40116, TAE 40122 cert IV in training and assessment or its successor, or any other qualification as outlined in the RTO standards.
- Relevant vocational qualifications in the music discipline being delivered.
- Experience delivering VET training (desirable).
- Strong classroom facilitation and engagement skills.
- Organised, compliant and confident with documentation requirements.
- Passionate about empowering young people through education.
- Ability to adapt delivery to diverse learning needs.
Atwea College requires:
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current National Criminal Police Record Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Child Protection Training (or willingness to complete).
