We’re seeking a Brisbane based Recoveries Consultant to join our growing team! The Recoveries Consultant manages the end to end recoveries life cycle for our clients and customers, working to achieve outcomes that are consistent with Company and regulatory objectives, values, standards and policies.
As a Recoveries Consultant you will:
- Manage recovery files in line with delegated authority and the guidelines and processes of Insuret and ATL.
- Negotiate settlements with customers, intermediaries and third parties.
- Recover funds from Third Parties, Third Party Insurers, and Hirers in breach of their rental agreement.
- Be the first point of contact for customers and intermediaries, working to resolve any issues in a timely and fair manner.
- Identify gaps in process, systems, guidelines within the organisation and recommend potential solutions to ensure our business operates in a compliant, efficient way.
- Assist the Recoveries & Complex Claims Leader in maintaining strategies to effectively manage recovery files.
- Work with peers to plan, implement and monitor these strategies.
- Maintain and deliver a high standard of communication in internal and external communications.
- Support the Recoveries Specialist & Team Lead by attending customer meetings, fostering long term relationships that ensure ongoing business success.
- Assisting in maintaining relationships with key service providers and monitor and review performance in line with our required service standards and other strategic objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to raise awareness of claims that may impact on underwriting decisions at both policy and intermediary level.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- High level of knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act and its implications for the provision of client services.
- A track record working in general insurance with motor claims experience, including managing supplier relationships.
- Good interpersonal communication skills with the ability to foster cooperative and professional working relationships with managers, peers, team members and business partners.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- General Insurance Code of Practice certification
