As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Consulting Services Business Unit Manager to lead and expand our consulting division. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving technical excellence, developing people, and expanding our consulting services across multiple environmental disciplines.
The Role
The Consulting Services Business Unit Manager will oversee the performance, growth and delivery of the consulting arm of Assured Environmental. The successful candidate will lead a team of consultants, manage key client relationships, and help identify and develop new service opportunities.
You will play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the consulting team while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Consulting Services business unit, including team leadership, mentoring and capability development.
- Drive business growth, identifying opportunities to expand consulting services and strengthen client relationships.
- Maintain technical oversight and quality assurance for consulting projects.
- Manage project delivery including resourcing, budgeting, scheduling and client communication.
- Support development of new services aligned with market demand and emerging environmental requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Assured Environmental’s monitoring, laboratory and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
- Contribute to strategic planning, operational performance and continuous improvement within the business.
About You
The successful candidate will be a technically capable environmental professional with strong leadership and commercial skills.
You will bring:
- A strong understanding of one or more environmental technical disciplines, such as air quality, noise and vibration, water quality and hydrology, soil and contamination, or environmental impact assessment or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading a consulting team.
- Proven capability in business development and client relationship management.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A relevant degree in environmental science, engineering or a related discipline.
