We are market leaders in the design, fabrication and installation of commercial staircases and balustrades.

About the position

The Project Drafter will join a busy and highly talented team and will be responsible for the production of in-house CAD drawings for commercial stairs, structural steel and architectural metalwork on building projects. These drawings are for both approval by clients, engineers and also for the production of the components. Generally, it involves working from site measures and with architects and engineers, and requires using design skills and employing civil/ mechanical and general engineering techniques. Knowledge of other manufacturing techniques such as laser cutting and finishing processes is also required.

What we are looking for

• CAD operators with experience in mainstream CAD programs such as Turbocad, Autocad and other similar systems

• Other systems in use include Inventor but not Solidworks

• Ability to confidently draw in 3D in AutoCad or extensive experience with Inventor is a must

• Experience in fabrication and engineering details essential

• Ability to present an architectural quality drawing is a huge advantage to a candidate as we present a mixture of high visual presentation with accurate engineering drawings

• If you have experience with BIM and other similar systems is desirable

Experience, skills and qualifications:

• Qualifications in Architectural Drafting, Engineering or other relevant field (preferred)

• 3-5 years practical experience (desirable)

• Practical experience in similar drafting and design role (essential)
