The Role:
This position offers full-time, ongoing employment working as an Estimator.
Our Estimators are critical to our success, they open the doors and do all the hard work prior to win projects, so they need to know their stuff, have a high attention to detail and have a great relationship with all stakeholders. They work closely with Clients, Site Managers, Project Managers and Trades people (internal & external) to have all the information to submit the best possible tenders.
About you:
- To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experienced estimator with a background in refurbishment and maintenance construction, ideally with sector experience across Retirement Living, Aged Care, Child Care, and Commercial projects
- Proficiency in tender submissions, scopes, contracts, and trade assemblies.
- Previous project coordination experience or a strong interest in gaining such experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people while meeting critical deadlines.
Your duties will include
- Working with key stakeholders to understand construction plans and define scope of works
- Managing all estimating and pricing activities
- Coordinating multiple estimates simultaneously and defining areas of responsibility
- Carrying out accurate quantity take-offs and producing bills of quantities
- Reviewing material and labour requirements and selecting trades based on most cost-effective construction methods
- Reviewing and approving finalised costs estimates and submitting to clients for selection, including presenting
- Attending tender interviews
- Prospecting existing and new client relationships
- Offer Value Management options
- Liaise with the Construction team and prepare project schedules
- Carry out site visits and attend meetings
- Hand over to project delivery team
- Project Coordination
