About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and professional Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide individualised supports aligned with each participant’s goals, preferences, and support plans.

You will work across a range of environments including community access, in-home supports, and supported living settings. This role requires emotional intelligence, strong boundaries, and a genuine commitment to participant rights and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support to participants with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and transport
  • Support community participation, social engagement, and skill development
  • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and control at all times
  • Work collaboratively with participants, families, and support networks
  • Advocate for participants to access appropriate community services
  • Monitor progress and support participants to work toward their NDIS goals
  • Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports, and required documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Comply with organisational policies, procedures, and the NDIS Code of Conduct
  • Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • National Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (Blue Card or state equivalent)
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes (kilometres reimbursed)

Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum 1 year experience in disability support or a similar care role
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals
  • Understanding of NDIS supports and participant-led practice
  • Confidence using digital systems such as ShiftCare and Microsoft Office (desirable)
