About You

• You need to be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour
• Minimum requirement of an Unrestricted HR (Road Ranger) Drivers Licence
• You must have experience in carrying out vehicle servicing or fleet maintenance
• Experience operating a Vacuum Truck will be highly regarded
• You must reside in the Geraldton Midwest Region (this is not a FIFO role)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Operator / Maintainer is primarily responsible for conducting pre-start inspections on all Vac West vehicles and mobile plant to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and operational.

This includes accurately identifying, documenting, and reporting faults, defects, and service requirements to management using pre-start checklists and reporting systems, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.

The role also provides operational flexibility by acting as relief coverage for scheduled operators when required.

In addition, the Operator / Maintainer assists with the general maintenance, housekeeping, and upkeep of the main office, workshop, and site facilities, contributing to a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
