Qualified Sheet Metal Worker

We are seeking a qualified Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team in South Geelong, Victoria. This permanent, full-time position is essential for ensuring the production of high-quality roofing and rainwater components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards within our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate roofing and rainwater components
• Operate various machinery and tools, including shears, brakes, and welders, to shape and assemble steel parts
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as sheet metal worker in a similar environment
• Completed apprenticeship in sheet metal work or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Conditions:

• Full-time permanent position
• Dayshift (hours to be agreed)
• Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, overtime available
