About the Role
As Senior Pre‑Construction Manager, you’ll delivery Amicus’ most complex and high‑value workplace projects, guiding clients through the critical pre‑construction phase while setting direction, standards and confidence across the project team.
You’ll act as a trusted adviser to clients and internal stakeholders alike — translating vision into a clear, commercially sound and buildable solution. In addition to hands‑on project leadership, you’ll play a key role in coaching and mentoring Project Managers, shaping best practice across pre‑construction delivery, and strengthening collaboration between Design, Sales, Estimating and Construction.
Working closely with Sales, you’ll support cost strategy, program development and bid leadership, helping position Amicus competitively while protecting project outcomes. Your influence will extend beyond individual projects, contributing to continuous improvement and pre‑construction methodologies.
Key stages you’ll lead include:
- Concept design & strategic budgeting
- Detailed planning & compliance strategy
- Design development & commercial refinement
- Tendering strategy & market engagement
- Construction handover & delivery readiness
What You’ll Do
- Lead pre‑construction delivery on large, complex or strategically significant workplace projects
- Act as senior advisor to clients, providing confidence, transparency and commercial clarity throughout the journey
- Coach, mentor and provide day‑to‑day guidance to Project Managers, lifting capability and consistency
- Partner closely with Sales and Estimating on cost planning, program development, bids and pitches
- Drive best‑practice pre‑construction processes, documentation standards and risk management
- Manage budgets, programs, approvals and documentation (IFC, permits, NCC compliance)
- Oversee consultant and subcontractor engagement through to construction handover
- Provide accurate cost reporting, value management strategies and commercial advice
- Ensure projects transition into construction with clarity, alignment and delivery confidence
