About us

Amherst Psychology is home to a down to earth and diverse team of skilled, compassionate psychologists. Whilst we offer a wide range of therapy and assessment services across the lifespan, it’s no secret that we’re passionate about the areas of neurodiversity affirming and trauma responsive care.

About you

  • Experience providing psychological therapy, ideally within a private practice setting

  • You are looking for a group practice with great administrative and clinical support, so that you can focus your energy on clinical work

Please note applications from provisional psychologists will not be considered in the current recruitment round. Provisional psychologists may wish to keep an eye on our Join Our Team page and social media accounts for news about any future opportunities.

  • Encouragement and support in developing or refining a niche area of practice
  • A wonderful administration team that provides exceptional support to psychologists, clients/caregivers, referrers, and other stakeholders
  • Being part of a workplace that cultivates psychological safety through:
  • Having multiple ways for our team to be heard (e.g., individual one-on-one meetings, team meetings, surveys, team days)
  • Policies that support a psychologically healthy workplace
  • Structured, well-paced induction program to create a solid practice foundation from the beginning
  • Trauma-informed practices across all areas of our practice
  • A culture of feedback, including the use of Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) Outcomes across the practice, and regular meetings with our management team to both provide and receive feedback
  • Professional development program, including a range of external guest presenters throughout the year and opportunities to attend external learning activities of interest to you
