What You’ll Do
Reporting to the VIC State Manager, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will be primarily responsible for driving growth of Assetline’s long term mortgage product across an established network of brokers. In this role, the BDM will nurture and expand productive broker relationships, actively promoting our mortgage offering while also identifying opportunities to introduce our short term lending and development finance solutions. Where these needs arise, the BDM will seamlessly refer opportunities to the relevant product specialists within the business.
The BDM will also act as a trusted business coach to their broker portfolio, proactively guiding, educating, and supporting brokers to deepen product knowledge, optimise deal structuring, and ultimately achieve strong and sustainable revenue outcomes.
Key Activities:
You will be responsible for
- Providing exceptional experience to brokers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans
- Proactively managing a sales funnel, following up deals in flight and opportunities to completion
- Educating brokers and workshopping loan opportunities to drive their business growth
- From time to time, supporting broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and broker / customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Demonstrated excellence in business development, sales and relationship management with proven experience in Mortgage lending and third-party intermediary spaces
- Experience in the banking, non-bank and finance industries, specifically within the broker space
- Current relationships and contacts within the broker market
- Proven experience in growing a panel of brokers
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets
- Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment
- Ability to understand complex industry segments and utilise this understanding to develop initiatives to drive growth
- Understanding of financial reports and demonstrated numerical and statistical analysis skills
- Sound credit knowledge that underpins deal activity
