Altogether Group is seeking a Business Management Systems and Internal Audit Coordinator to partner with the business in strengthening assurance, internal controls and continuous improvement across all operations.

This role provides independent, objective audit and assurance while working collaboratively with teams to enhance operational efficiency, accountability and performance in line with our certified Business Management System (BMS), including ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will support the effectiveness of internal controls, risk and compliance frameworks, and internal audit programs, helping the organisation remain informed, assured and continuously improving.

About the role

In this role, you will support the effectiveness, compliance and continuous improvement of Altogether’s Business Management System while delivering an informed and assured internal audit program. You will work collaboratively with teams to assess controls, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend practical, evidence‑based improvements that enhance operational performance and reduce risk.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with the business to support the effectiveness, compliance and ongoing improvement of the Business Management System, including ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 requirements.
  • Plan and deliver internal audits that provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with laws, regulations and standards, and adherence to internal policies.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the internal audit framework, including audit schedules, methodologies, reporting and action tracking.
  • Review business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, bottlenecks and non‑value‑adding activities, and recommend practical improvement opportunities.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of risk and compliance frameworks and internal controls across financial, operational and IT environments.
  • Monitor and track audit findings, corrective actions and recommendations to ensure timely completion and clear accountability.
  • Prepare clear, structured audit and assurance reporting for management, committees and executives.

 

What we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in internal audit, business management systems, risk, compliance or quality roles
  • Working knowledge of ISO‑certified management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 highly regarded)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including audit reporting
  • A collaborative, pragmatic approach with the ability to influence without authority
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow‑through
