Allied Justice is a for-purpose community legal organisation committed to improving access to justice for people experiencing disadvantage. Guided by our values of respect, courage, empowerment and kindness, we provide free legal assistance, integrated support services and community legal education to individuals and families across Western Victoria.

We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join our team in Ballarat. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, completing intake and referral services via phone, email, online and in person. You’ll play a key part in ensuring clients receive timely, trauma‑informed support and are connected with the right legal or community services.

Working closely with our legal team, you will assist with administrative tasks, conduct legal research, and contribute to law and policy reform projects. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can develop a broad range of legal skills while supporting meaningful social impact.

What we looking for:

  • Someone enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent), with a passion for social justice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients empathetically.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to learn.
  • Experience in the community sector or understanding of trauma-informed practice is an advantage.
