Location –Sydney or Melbourne

Allied Credit is a leading vehicle finance firm with strategic alliances with global car, marine and motorcycle brands. Offering white label, joint venture and floorplan finance, our proprietary software provides a seamless, convenient and customer-focused finance service to consumers and businesses.

We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to lead and deliver on key service commitments across all Allied Credit Group’s operations, including joint ventures. This shall be accomplished through effective partnerships with key stakeholders across the organisation to support Allied Credit’s mission, vision, strategic focus areas and values.

What you will be doing

  • Leading the design, development and ongoing enhancement of the Introducer Monitoring & Management (IMM) program.
  • Overseeing monitoring activities, analysis and supporting documentation to inform policy refinement and uplift standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Chairing recurring IMM governance forums, delivering clear insights, thematic analysis and formal reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Leading, coordinating and actively participating in external file reviews conducted by funders, rating agencies, and auditors.
  • Taking ownership of sourcing, interrogating, and analysing data as a key part of IMM, enabling identification of areas warranting further review.
  • Managing and delivering timely, accurate responses to information and documentation requests from funders, auditors and rating agencies.
  • Preparing and presenting senior‑level reporting to leadership teams and business forums, highlighting insights, risks and outcomes from file reviews.
  • Assisting R&C Leadership in designing and implementing the business wide risk management framework, in partnership with business risk owners
  • Maintaining governance documentation to support assurance and review activities
  • Support the Risk & Compliance Leadership Team with owning the incident management process, ranging from identification, investigation, resolution and breach reporting.
  • Assisting in developing and providing training to colleagues on risk and compliance topics.

Your background

  • Solid experience working in a position with a heavy risk and compliance focus in financial services, ideally with exposure to auto lending.
  • Analytical mindset with strong data capabilities with Excel, Power BI, SQL and the full Microsoft software suite.
  • Proven success is reviewing, architecting and uplifting reporting frameworks using modern technology tools.
  • Experience across core regulatory environment:
  1. ASIC Act 2001 – conduct & investigatory compliance
  2. NCCP Act – credit licensing, responsible lending, AFCA
  3. Corporations Act – misleading conduct rules
  4. Financial Sector (Collection of Data) Act – registrable corporation obligations
  5. Anti‑Money Laundering and Counter‑Terrorism Financing Act 2006
  • Sound understanding of risk and compliance expectations of regulators and the ability to engage constructively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement, possessing a ‘can-do’ attitude and an inquisitive nature.
  • Demonstrated ability to take projects from end to end with excellent time management skills.
