IT Support Officer

Allied Credit have an opportunity for an IT Support Officer to join our collaborative Technology Solutions Operations team for a period 12 months, covering for a parental leave. You will provide BAU support activities and to contribute to the achievement of business continuity for the effective operations of the Group. Working as part of a small team you will be integral to the management of information systems, support and administration as well as assist in applications, data security and
business support.
Responsibilities
- Providing level 1 and level 2 support to internal users and business partners.
- Troubleshooting and escalation of issues to other technical resources and third-party
providers.
- Assisting with user administration and IT equipment management.
- Administration and management of the Office365 suite of applications.
- Administration and support of the company’s communications systems.
- After-hours on call for critical incidents and issues.
- Monitoring and logging support requests ensuring SLAs are being met and management of system alerts through service desk tickets.
- Internal client communication regarding service request progress, impending changes and planned outages.
- IT technical and procedural documentation development and maintenance.
- Assist with software upgrades as well as administration and management of portals and web sites.
- Contribute to process improvement and efficiencies.
- Research and analysis of current and upcoming technologies and trends.
- Contribute to strengthen security and safeguard company assets from malicious attacks.
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or industry equivalent qualification with ITIL 4 certification.
- Proven success in an IT support role, ideally in a medium to large business, utilising an ITSM tool, such as ServiceNow, Jira or Halo.
- Experience in financial services industry preferred.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure are required.
- Proven track record and experience working collaboratively with staff and executives across the business as well as external stakeholders.
- Confidence and ability to structure and communicate material effectively in both written
and oral forms.
- Proactive in recommending innovative solutions to business requirements, process
improvements, challenges and issues.
- Good planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Well-developed analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
