About the Role
All Industries Group is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Project Engineer to join our team in Rockhampton.
This is a client-facing role responsible for managing engineering and fabrication projects from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The role also plays a key part in identifying and securing new work, including managing tender submissions, preparing technical proposals, and building strong relationships with our clients.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both technical delivery and commercial involvement, and who wants to play a meaningful role in the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering and fabrication projects from scoping and quoting through to completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with workshop teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare scopes of work, estimates, and technical proposals.
- Identify and manage tender opportunities via industry portals and client platforms.
- Prepare and submit tenders and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work.
- Ensure projects meet relevant standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong engineering capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients.
You will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or related Engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years’ experience in project engineering or similar roles.
- RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) – preferred.
- Experience delivering engineering or fabrication projects from concept to completion.
- Experience with tendering, estimating, or proposal preparation.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Experience with CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD) and ERP systems highly regarded.
