We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the delivery of large-scale renewable energy and power infrastructure projects.
This role is responsible for providing technical, planning, and construction support across the lifecycle of our projects. You will act as the critical link between engineering design and field implementation, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient site execution. Working closely with construction managers, supervisors, subcontractors and design teams, the Project Engineer will play a key role in the successful and safe delivery of works on-site.
This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an adaptable and proactive individual with a strong technical foundation and construction background.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret project drawings and specifications, ensuring technical requirements are accurately implemented on-site
• Provide engineering support to construction teams and subcontractors, resolving issues and coordinating sequencing of works
• Develop and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring construction quality and compliance with design and regulatory standards
• Coordinate and maintain accurate document control, including RFIs, permits, specifications, and drawing registers
• Monitor daily and weekly progress, assisting with planning, procurement, and scheduling of resources
• Ensure all site activities are compliant with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures and requirements
• Liaise with design consultants and third parties to clarify technical queries and drive resolution of design issues
• Track materials and productivity against budgets and support the Project Manager in cost monitoring, progress claims, and variation support
• Contribute to site reporting, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in the preparation of As-Built drawings and support project close-out activities
Key Skills and Experience:
• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or similar discipline) with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction
• Minimum 3 years exposure in renewable projects
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, QA/QC systems, and HSE requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Australian Driver’s License
• Flexibility to work on-site and adapt to changing project demands
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
