About The Role
Due to a recent period of growth, we are looking for a full-time experienced Area Manager to oversee the running of our on-campus and off-campus retail stores located in multiple regions across Queensland. Learning the business from the ground up, the successful candidate has an exciting opportunity to forge a career in our niche field of School Uniform Shop Management and Sporting Organisation Apparel Solutions. You will be expected to work autonomously as well as work as part of a larger team, supporting and developing our team of retail assistants in our stores.
Travel to schools is a requirement of this role.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant is required to hold a Current Drivers Licence and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
Responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of our uniform shop staff
• Rosters, including setting extended hours during our peak periods
• Customer Service, including shop sales as required
• Manage shop cleanliness and presentation within our stores
• Implement and follow Alinta policies and procedures
• Staff onboarding and offboarding with Head Office Support
• Liaise with key stakeholders within our schools to present and sign off samples
• Termly meetings with each partner school to discuss their product range and ensure they are
content with the products and services they are being offered by Alinta
• Complete wholesale orders within our existing schools
• Grow business and sales and identify new opportunities in wholesale or retail accounts (existing
and new)
About You
You will be a friendly and welcoming individual who enjoys working as a cohesive team member, with a strong work ethic and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities. You will have an enquiring mind, the desire to understand the business and an ability to stay informed in an environment where there is so much going on. You will also possess the following skills and experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a supervisor role
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Competent in using a POS System
• Commitment and willingness to go ‘the extra mile’ for our staff and customers
• An exceptionally friendly and engaging personality
• A high level of written and oral communication skills
• A professional mindset and flexibility
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
• The ability to work autonomously and within a team
• The ability to develop and maintain long term relationships with stakeholders
• The ability to problem solve and be a team player
• A high level of store pride, with particular attention to detail on store cleanliness and presentation
