About the Role
Alex Bank is entering a major payments uplift, and this role leads the product build across BECS batch, NPP real time and card scheme payments rails. You’ll shape product design, execution and delivery across 10+ workstreams in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. This is a rare greenfield opportunity where you’ll work closely with the Head of Payments, influence board level decisions, and help integrate supporting functions including treasury, financial crime and risk. It’s ideal for someone who thrives on independence, impact and building from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
∙ Lead the product strategy, roadmap and delivery across all payments rails.
∙ Drive cross functional execution across design, build, integration and launch activities.
∙ Act as payments SME, influencing decisions across technology, operations and risk.
∙ Engage effectively with executive and board stakeholders; clearly communicate priorities and progress.
∙ Support go to market activity, client engagement and internal product communication.
About You
∙ Deep experience in payments product management (batch, NPP, cards or equivalent).
∙ Comfortable operating independently and making decisions in an ambiguous, fast paced environment.
∙ Proven ability to deliver large and complex product builds, not just BAU optimisation.
∙ Strong communicator with confidence presenting at executive and board level.
∙ Curious, driven, and proactive – someone who wants to build, influence and get things done.
