About the Role 

We’re seeking an experienced Compliance professional to drive the development and embedding of our compliance framework. 

Based in Brisbane and reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this role will provide a 360° view of the bank’s operations.    

What You’ll Do 

• Develop, embed and oversight the Group’s compliance framework.  

• Lead the organisational response to regulatory change. 

• Develop and execute the 2nd line compliance assurance plan. 

• Undertake incident breach assessments. 

• Provide subject matter expertise and advice in relation to compliance obligations. 

• Contribute to reporting to the Board and management on risk and compliance issues. 

• Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs. 

• Drive the development of risk culture and engagement across the business. 

What You’ll Bring 

• 5+ years’ experience in compliance roles within, or consulting to, the financial services sector, preferably retail banking. 

• A broad understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to the retail banking sector. 

• The commitment and drive to develop your capabilities to encompass the universe of regulatory obligations applicable to Alex Bank. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player with strong commercial acumen, report writing and presentation skills. 

• A self-starter, with attention to detail and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
