About the role:
Reporting to the CTO, as a Full Stack Developer, you will be a leader within Alex, working with both internal and external parties to apply your expertise to design and develop solutions and experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone to step into this role with confidence and demonstrated expertise in C#, React Native, React, Data Streaming (Kafka) and Azure.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of the entire product or feature, working across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive customer experiences to deliver measurable business growth.
- Utilise your skills to develop new features and provision infrastructure (via Infrastructure as Code using Terraform) in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
- Assume leadership, engaging with inspiring team members across multiple disciplines, both business and technical, for the delivery of new projects and features from conceptualisation to post-deployment support.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design.
- Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.
- Help design and deliver a modern API first platform in support of multiple products, customers and distribution channels.
What we’re looking for:
- A programming background with demonstrated knowledge of software engineering, and potentially a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in application development
- 1-2 years’ experience in financial services will be highly regarded
- Experience developing complex products on emerging technology
- Experience developing, deploying, managing, securing, and maintaining APIs
- Experience with leading Cloud platforms
- Experience with designing and developing Microservices
- Experience working in Agile teams using continuous development and integration
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Well organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Customer-first mindset with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
