Finance Officer – Permanent Part-Time

Advance Disability Services and Respite (ADSR) is a growing NDIS provider supporting people living with disability to build independence, develop life skills and participate in their community.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Finance Officer to join our Head Office team in Penrith. This permanent part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across payroll, invoicing, reconciliations and financial reporting while supporting a purpose-driven organisation.
About the Role
This position is based at our Penrith Head Office and is a permanent part-time role requiring availability to work three days per week between Monday and Friday, during our business hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm.As the Finance Officer, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of ADSR and ensure accurate financial processing across payroll, invoicing and reporting systems.
You will work closely with internal teams to maintain financial accuracy, support compliance requirements and ensure smooth financial operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Process fortnightly payroll using Paycat and ShiftCare timesheets
Generate participant invoices and submit NDIS claims through the NDIA portal
Manage accounts receivable, including monitoring and following up outstanding invoices
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with monthly financial reporting and financial analysis
Ensure financial records remain compliant with NDIS requirements and internal policies
Work with HR, scheduling and operational teams to resolve discrepancies
Support continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
What We’re Looking For
Qualification in Accounting, Finance or Bookkeeping (preferred)
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
Experience in the NDIS or disability services sector is highly regarded
Experience using Paycat and Xero
Familiarity with ShiftCare, Careview, NDIS and PRODA systems
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
